FASHION DESIGNING ONE YEAR COURSE

This course provides a challenging visual and practical training in fashion design. It aims to develop the creative and intellectual qualities in students, which is a pre-requisite for a successful professional career in fashion designing and its associated fields. The acquisition of design and production skills is the focus. In the first module, in order to groom their personal and professional skills, the students are scheduled for subjects such as Pattern making, Textile Designing, Illustration,
Drawing Techniques and Hand &
Machine Sewing. Students will be engaged in
research, development and technical production processes. Class assignments, quizzes and projects are used as means of
introducing students to Design and Manufacturing Techniques. A range of core
subjects like Historical & Cultural Studies, Professional Studies, and Visual Studies
develop skills in students. Students to develop a sound theoretical foundation leading to the
development of their specialist skills and thereby creating an arena for mutual exchange of ideas and expertise with fellow students. All Students are involved in project
based learning techniques which forms a worthwhile basis for the designing and
production of garments.
